Beta Sigma Phi partnered with the Swainsboro, GA, Chamber of Commerce’s Business After-Hours to host this death by chocolate event.

There was a spread of delicate chocolates and chocolate beverages.  The Chamber provided champagne for the event, which was adequate for toasting to the success of the evening.

Items for the silent and live auctions, as well as raffle items were donated by community members and other surrounding areas.

For many businesses and organizations, traditional marketing media (newspaper, television, magazine, radio) are not the most efficient or cost-effective method for promoting their product, brand or marketing message. A viable alternative to traditional marketing strategies for these companies is the distribution of promotional products, either through direct marketing or trade shows.

What promotional products have the most impact? Because items that glow or flash naturally catch people’s attention, imagine what an impact glow products can have when used as a promotional item?

The main strengths of using glow products to market your business or organization include:

Customization: A product that lights up with your company name, logo or marketing message makes an immediate impact.

More Bang For Your Buck: Battery-operated glow products, such as Glow Pens can be used over and over again-giving you more promotional bang for your buck. And since glow products are entertaining, you can be assured your promotional investment is worthwhile and will not be left in the trash or on the floor.

Creative Impact: Trade show room floors tend to be busy, cluttered places. An effective way to draw visitors to your booth is to make your display one that stands out from the crowd. Glow products are hard to beat for creating awareness.

Building Traffic: Giving glow products as promotional gifts can produce approximately three to four times more traffic to your exhibit than a pre-show invitation without a promotional product.

Flexibility:The potential applications of glow products are incredibly varied, as is the great diversity of glow products available.

Nicaboyne is the leading provider of creative promotional products to handle marketing, promotional, safety, and fundraising needs for events of all types. Whether you are looking for the traditional items, such as light sticks, or the latest in glow technology, as a direct supplier, Nicaboyne offers the lowest pricing, allowing you to maximize your profits.

This seems to be a little known use for Glow Sticks, and it is … out of this world!

Sorry for the pun.

When the Shuttle Program was in action, NASA prepared each astronaut with an orange glow stick inserted into the shoulder pockets, on their upper arms, of their space suits.

Not as much for fun and celebration, but the glow sticks are intended to provide a visual aid to identify or find each other in an emergency situation, or if they were to have an emergency landing in darkness.

Now that is a wild use of Glow Sticks!

Check out our 12 inch glow sticks!

Ever have a breaker trip and stumble into the dark basement to rest the switch? Many of us don’t really have the most illuminated basements. Our circuit panels are often located in a dark or dimly lit area of the basement.

Here is one very good use of glow sticks. Keep a glow stick (or a few) on top of, or close by, your circuit panel box. When you get there you can break one and have the light you need to safely see and reset the breaker.

Perhaps it sounds funny? Well, when your safety is at stake nothing is silly. Don’t forget, it may be your wife and child who heads to the panel to reset the switch. I like the cheap insurance policy of being safe instead of sorry.

While talking with a friend the other day about glow sticks and how they are so great at Halloween, I mentioned the Relay for Life, and how they are also great for that. My friend said "what is the Relay for Life?" I was really surprised, because I thought everyone knew what the Relay was, or had at least heard about it enough that they figured it out. Well, I guess that not everyone pays attention. LOL!

So, to answer that in case anyone else out there isn't aware of the Relay, it is the main cancer fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. It is volunteer based, originated in the USA but is now active in 21 countries around the globe.

The Relay for Life, often simply referred to as the Relay, is meant to spread the word about the need for cancer research, as well as to raise money and celebrate survivors, as well as mourn those who lost the battle.

Look for Relays in your neighborhood at Colleges and Universities, local town parks and schools and even in cyberspace.
